In a search of myself (the search still goes on...) I somehow ended up playing drums. Our first band with Koukonen was formed in 2001 and I bought my first drumset at the same year.
As a teenager music slowly started to take over sports and ever since it has offered me a way to express myself. Never regretted the choice I've made.
A true feeling of producing rhythm keeps me facinated with my instrument. Every new day is for learning: the greatest thing of all is that there is no such thing called perfection.
I'm trying to improve my skills all the time and hopefully development will be continous.
Though I find metal music challenging and innovative, a big deal of my influences and inspiration come from other sources: I enjoy music over strict genres.
Passion, groove and a breeze of freshness are fundamental musical factors to me. Just to mention few of my favourites over time:
CMX, Dead Shape Figure, Kingston Wall, Lamb of God, Machine Head, Mokoma, Nile, Oasis, Opeth, Pantera, Prodigy, Profane Omen, Rage Against the Machine,
Rammstein, Sara, Sotajumala, Stam1na, The Faceless, The Mars Volta, Tool... Everything that inspires me, music, literature and life itself,
always awakes feelings inside. For me, playing thrash metal is the way to let the feelings out.
At this point Bloodred Hourglass is taking significant steps in it's carreer. These first three years have shaped the band to it's current
form and I'm proud of being part of it. When thinking about the future of BRHG, I believe that this is just a beginning of our journey.
A lot is about to happen, come and witness it yourself!
