I started playing guitar at the age of 14. First couple of years of playing was just noodling around every now and then, but when I turned to 16, I really started to put time and effort to guitar playing and practised very hard.
I also started to study guitar and musical theory in a music conservatory in Mikkeli. I joined BRHG at 2005 and my role in the band is to compose and arrange most of the music.
I also play guitar in a metal band called Sophia's Eye and in summer 2007 I formed a band/project called Firmament, which is mainly bombastic and melodic music with new age, acoustic and soundtrack elements.
Nowadays besides playing a lot of guitar, I am also interested in keyboards too.
There is a lot of great guitar players out there, but I especially admire these guitarists: John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, Michael Romeo, Steve Morse and Richie Blackmore. They all have great style, technique and a sense of melody and harmony.
I like to listen all kinds of music. Metal, pop, rock(especially 80's hard/glam rock), new age, movie soundtracks. Everything goes as long as it catches your attention and speaks in emotions.
Recently I´v been listening to bands/artists such as Symphony X, Lamb Of God, Nightwish, Mike Oldfield, Amy Macdonald, Von Hertzen Brothers, Kitaro, Dream Theater, CoB, Stratovarius, Deep Purple, Seventh Wonder...
Playing live is also what I really like to do and even thought we have played only dozen of gigs, every one of them have been memorable. So dudes, see ya on shows!
