Ok as some of you might have noticed, this site has been awfully quiet for a long time. The lack of updates
is mainly explained because we are not able to update anything but the guestbook here directly by ourselvels.
This will hopefully get fixed during the new site layout. Anyway, there's a bunch of new candy to share.
For first, we are more than proud to announce that Bloodred Hourglass will be playing in Scooprock 2009,
a one day festival that's held in Mikkeli, and which is also celebrating it's 10th year anniversary.
Other bands include some seriously badass and big names- for our musical inspiration also.

You can get your ticket from Tiketti.fi for the price of 32€, or alternatively straight from the gate
for 35 euros. We will be filming this gig with multiple cameras and will hopefully get some
of that live material released at some point.
Next up, we've been nominated for the demo of the month in Finnish higly appreciated and leading
metal magazine Inferno, more precisely in issue number 5/2009. Thank you, appreciate!
We are, and have been, working on a new material more and less as the schedules give it a chanche, and
three completely new songs have been done. From those "Down to the Wire" and "A Good Will Kill" have been
played live. We are currently considering the options for the next release.
There are also few other gigs among the Scooprock one, check out the gigs section for those.
Further information about this summer's Redneck Rock, managed by Hyvönen & Moilanen, will be updated soon.

NEWS, REVIEWS, INTERVIEW... - 13.4.2009
Hey hou mates! We've been a bit lazy around here but the less we talk the forward
we walk: new material is being worked on as fast as we can handle the composing duties.
Anyway, we got a bunch of new stuff here for you. As you might have noticed,
the photos from Vaakuna gig here in Mikkeli thrashquarters have been online a day or two,
thanks to Ismo Korhonen. That leads us to a hellofareview of our live action and latest EP Verdict
over HERE in KK Downing .

ATTENTION DUDES AND DUDETTES! - 10.1.2009
It's been lazy and quiet as your best-ever-fuck in here but we're actually still alive and most importantly kicking forward! Our next release, a four song equipped thrasterpiece-EP Verdict has been succesfully recorded during December 2008. Just to let you know what's coming out for your listening pleasure, we've compiled a little something called two part making of video from the seven day sessions we went through! Feel free to check these out here!
Also, the current schedule for the EP states that we will be doing the mixing and mastering process during the next few weeks, and it looks like we will be playing an EP releasing gig in Bar'n'Night Vaakuna, Mikkeli, at Friday 27.2.2009. Now it is the time to schedule your ass for some serious dance floor action!

INTRODUCING "PÄÄLLIKKÖ" - 20.9.2008
We have decided to make mr. Jarkko Tiilikainen a fulltime member of the band.
He's a talented guitar player and a great person, and after handling the duties more
than well during the last eight shows, we felt like the search was over.
He will obviously join the studio for the next recording session set to December this year.
We will again use sir Mikko Suuronen and Zetaworks' services and are anxiously
looking forward getting things started there..

Quiet for a while here but a lot has happened. For first, "Under the Black Flag" EP is
now released! We've added two songs from it here in the music section and they
can also be found at MIKSERI and on our MYSPACE which has also seen the
daylight! Check out the cover art! Once again awesome job from the same
man who's behind all of our graphical stuff!
If you desperately want to get your dirty hands on jewel case, feel free to order it via MERCHANDISE section. It's 6€ and includes the postages.

EP recorded, a new gig and photos from the last show! - 1.4.2008
First of all, the recording sessions are finally done, Under the Black Flag -EP will be released in April (hopefully).
Next, BRHG salutes for the last gigs, including Huvikumpu and Club Selvä band contest! And yes,
we made it to the final, which will be on 25.4.2008 at Naisvuoritalo, featuring 5 other bands

MEMBER CHANGES and New Gig - 16.2.2008
We have decided to part ways with our second guitar player Ilkka Jähi.
The decision was made by the rest of us together, after feeling that dedication and effort
Jähi offered was not serving the best of Bloodred Hourglass. We want to thank & salute him
from the previous years and wish him all the best for his musical future!
We will continue as a four piece now and this will not have any kind of affect to our studio session
nor the upcoming showdates. We are using replacing guitar player for the live shows and take
the time we need to find a decent follower. Thank you.

New year, new shit! - 8.1.2008
The end of the year 2007 went on concentrating practising the new shit, and finally, on February 2008 BRHG is heading to Studio Livsfara @ Kangasniemi. We will be recording 4 songs for the upcoming EP, that will be released on the spring. Some video footage from studio, a teaser of songs and a songlist will also be added on site after recording. Stay tuned!
